RSABI seeks two new Trustees
24 February 2021
RSABI is looking for two new Trustees to join its board.
The charity is seeking to raise awareness of its support services with young people in the agricultural industry and would like to recruit a Trustee who can help them reach and engage younger people.
They are also looking to recruit someone with IT and digital infrastructure knowledge who has experience of using digital tools to improve service delivery and the day-to-day running of organisations.
RSABI provides emotional, practical and financial support to people in the Scottish agricultural industry. The charity’s board is responsible for RSABI’s governance and strategy, and for making sure that the organisation is administered effectively.
“We’re looking to bring new perspectives to our board,” explains Nina Clancy, Chief Executive of RSABI. “A priority for us in coming months is raising awareness of our services with younger people, and encouraging them to get in touch for support. We’re looking for a new Trustee who can bring insight and experience that will help us with that work.
“And to fill a skills gap on the board, we’re also seeking someone with IT and digital experience to help ensure we’re ahead of the curve in this area. Events of the past year have really highlighted how important digital tools are in terms of resilience and also improving how we do things.”
Chair of RSABI David Leggat said: “We’re looking for people who are enthusiastic about the good work RSABI does and who want to volunteer their skills and experience to help the organisation be as effective as possible.
“All our board meetings are currently taking place by Zoom so location isn’t a barrier and I’d encourage anyone who is interested to apply. It’s a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of people in the agricultural industry who are struggling.”
Applications are now being accepted for these two voluntary trustee positions.
To apply email your CV and a covering letter explaining why you are interested in the position and the skills and experience you would bring to firstname.lastname@example.org
